WELCOME to Chaparral Greyhounds, home to American Kennel Club Champion Greyhounds and loving pets. I started out in 1991 showing my Dalmatian, Pablo. Pablo was a once in a life time dog. He was a wonderful dog to start learning about the game of show dogs. Georgia followed shortly after. She is a typy black and white bitch with lots of attitude. My first interest in Greyhounds started in 1993. I have always been attracted to their regal attitude and their noble disposition. I mentioned to a friend I would love to have a Greyhound but I wanted and AKC Greyhound so that I could still show. She told me of an AKC Greyhound litter of an internet friend and would contact her if I was interested. My first Greyhound, Grace, came shortly after. Greyhounds are like potato chips, you can't have just one. I am devoted to this breed and can't imagine not having them in my home. I strive to produce healthy dogs with good Greyhound type, soundness and excellent temperaments. I breed to improve, not mass produce Greyhounds. Health clearances such as OFA, CERF and thyroid are always performed before breeding. My dogs are cherished family members, as well as quality competitive conformation and performance dogs. Temperament is a big priority in my breeding program. Healthy dogs are a must. Greyhounds owned and/or bred at Chaparral have been quite successful in the show ring, in the field and most importantly as much loved pets. They are intelligent, lovely to look at and fun to live with. I've been a member of:
